Abstract

This approach to Adilia Lopes’s poetry starts from her interlocution with Marianna Alcoforado and Florbela Espanca which appears mainly in the works dedicated to these two poets. Thus, procedures like parasitism, parody, somebody else’s citation and collage rise up to a high poetic degree that delineates a bizarre and extraordinary poetic personality. This personality is revealed by equivocations, disabilities, and intended errors vis-à-vis the original works, all procedures condemned by the literary establishment. These “flaws” tend to form some kind of feminine poetry and they also critically point out the cultural idea of “woman”.
