Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present the cultural and aesthetic historical relations between Brazilian Theatre and French Theatre, as well as to show their actual exchange experiences. Avoiding an approach in which could remain the perspective of cultural dependence, the paper will focus on the historical transformations that the Brazilian drama underwent in order to understand the French contribution as a dialogue form, once it could be considered one of the most important references to Brazilian stages along their artistical and cultural developments.
