Abstract

Memoir-based writing has long represented one of the pillars for the construction of the writer’s image, or at least of the adult writer. The diary is considered to be a genre that reveals the intimate scenes as well as the cultural background of the portrayed self. Through the reading of Zlata Filipoviæ’s diary, this work aims at grasping elements that help delineating a path which includes childhood reminiscences. Furthermore, this work intends to verify in what manner the status of literary text was conceded to this book and to what extent it may contribute to validate a possible notion of infant writing in our days.
