Abstract

The aim of this article is to outline some considerations about the scientific discourse in Kazuo Ishiguro’s masterpiece Never let me go. The novel, written by the Japanese author, settled in England, discusses some human values and the mortality through cloning, the narrative motif. Through the voice of Kathy, the narrator of the book, we know the condition of the clones, condemned by the pernicious advancement of science to give their lives to save humans. In the novel, the separation of the clones from society dehumanizes them, culminating in the acceptance of their fatal destiny.
