Abstract

Following a line of contemporary theoretical thought about migratory movements, construction of identity shaped among displacement influxes and in border spaces, this paper aims to investigate the representation of a wandering map that takes place in the novel Fundador of the Brazilian Writer Nélida Piñon, relating the retrieval of the underground memories of the character Johanus. In this sense, we are going to analyze, critically, the walking process performed by the main character of the narrative in order to discuss how the foreign subject constructs his singularity through the experience of nomadism.
