Abstract

This article analyses the discourse of memory and the relationship of this form of writing with culture and history. In order to do so, this work studies the Black presence in four memory books: Carlos Drummond de Andrade’s “Boitempo” (I and II), Murilo Mendes’s “A Idade do Serrote” and Pedro Nava’s “Baú de Ossos”.
