Abstract

In this essay, we will seek to reflect on the relationship between public higher education and quilombola students, since with the policy of internalizing universities and democratizing access to them, historically excluded subjects come to exist in these spaces and more than that, the to guide this existence by weaving symbolic and material strategies of resistance. We will bring theoretical aspects of Economic Sociology, aiming to bring it closer to our research theme through concepts such as those of Marcel Mauss and Émile Durkheim, Mark Granovetter, Viviana Zelizer, such as donation, altruism and the construction of networks, economic and social spheres, respectively, as tools of exchange essential for maintaining groups.
