Abstract

The presented article propose an analysis of the current conditions of trade unionism, suggesting as a hypothesis, the adoption of certain actions that constitute phenomenon’s for the union issues as a result of difficulties imposed on these organizations for the last years. Two trends, the ununionism and institutionalization of trade union, are discussed based on scientific researches from researchers. By the opposition between these two trends aim to demonstrate that the current state of unionism, particularly Brazilians, is composed of factors of loss and gain and representativeness gain that justify the consolidation of a new type of unionism, countering the arguments which defend his end or inertia. In this thesis, we attempt to further the ideia of union representation as an fundamental historic element and necessary to the existence of trade union and, therefore, the engine of trade union acts.
