This article seeks to understand the relationship between the development of commercial fishing activity in the Amazon and its relation with the adoption of economic policies. The development models adopted for the Amazon of the second half of the twentieth century allowed other forms of action and ownership of local natural resources, leading strategic the capitalist mode of production in the Amazon, transforming the social relations of production and productive forces of industry fishing.
