Abstract

focusing on the analyze of the way that the social movement Justice for Janitors, campaign in Los Angeles, organized by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), have responded to the emerging needs of migrant workers, especially undocumented Mexicans, we seek to understand the productive restructuring the of janitorial sector concurrently with insertion of Latino workers in the late 1970’s and early 80’s century. To this end, we seek to understand this phenomenon from the historical migration dynamics between these two countries using specific literature on the subject.
