Abstract

The relationship between law and market is presented in this article through the institutional and political processes discussed by the sociological approach to law and economy, especially considering the labor institutions. In this regard, we analyze the efforts of trade unions in Brazil in order to foster favorable judicial interpretations to their participation on the negotiation of collective dismissals, accordingly to ILO Convention No. 158.
