Abstract

This work aims to build an intersection between geographic literacy and the comic book “Mukanda Tiodora”, by Marcelo D’Salete (2022), having as a guiding thread the urban transformations of the central region of the city of São Paulo/SP, especially the Liberdade neighborhood. Therefore, it is important to build a connection between the past and present of these spaces through the perspective of roughness, in this condition, building an approach in the classroom in order to problematize how history is told and preserved in this territoriality, with the comic book as the didactic tool.

Carlos Vinicius Antunes Rufini, Universidade Federal de São Carlos


Master's degree in Geography and Bachelor's degree in Geography from the Federal University of São Carlos - Sorocaba campus (2021) and in Social Communication - Journalism from the University of Sorocaba (2014). He is currently a professor at the São Paulo State Education Network (SEDUC-SP). He has developed research in the area of ​​Education, with an emphasis on the field of geographic literacy through active teaching-learning methodologies, creativity and innovation in the classroom. He has developed work in the area of ​​Urban Geography, addressing the perspectives of creative cities, urban planning, master plan and verticalization process.

Professor Associado da Universidade Federal de São Carlos, vinculado ao Centro de Ciências Humanas e Biológicas do Departamento de Geografia, Turismo e Humanidades. Atua desde 2006 nos cursos de Graduação em Geografia e Turismo.
