Abstract

The Paneleiras of Goiabeiras Velha are responsible for the perpetuation of the traditional indigenous art of making clay pot, the pot in which the moqueca capixaba, traditional capixaba dish, is prepared and served. This article aims to analyze, through literature and documental research the experience for local development held in Vitória-ES, developed by these artisans. It was attempted, besides exposing the experience itself, presenting the field in which this takes place, describing its practical accumulations and specificities, joints, networks and legal frameworks. Analyzing the case based on a vision of sustainable local development it was found that the experience presents aspects consistent with the new methodologies of deployment of practices for local development, considering elements highlighted as new paradigms of production and consumption.
