Abstract

It’s intended to evaluate part of the track of the creator project and the reception of the poetic work of the Goiás writer Cora Coralina (1889-1985) from the methodological- theorical outline elaborated by Pierre Bourdieu in his literature sociology. Cora Coralina had na amazing track: woman, elderly and from the countryside, she published her fi rst book by the time she was 76 years old and printed a series of refl ective questionings in the Brazilian scenery. In her insertion, she made use of some stylish and theme strategies which were really different. Because of that comes the analysis of the role of the Brazilian Academy of Letters, her relationship with known writers and also with the young ones, the prizes and literary reviews, all together with the choices she promoted are qualities that assume a crucial part from this woman writer. When she privileged the dark and marginalized, Cora had a great impact in the literary fi eld and made herself (as she still makes) listened as a representative o one of the lines of strength in the feminine Brazilian poetry.
