Abstract

These reflections have the intention of considering the culture praxes originated from socialization processes. In order to develop this idea I present the argument in three axes. The fi rst refers to the proximity between sociology of culture and sociology of education, by exploring the importance of the notion of socialization. Second, I explore the concept of habitus as it allows us to observe the praxes as a way of individual or group expressivity and understand it as a dialogue between individual and society; at last, I will base this article on the notion of distinction, for it allows the understanding that praxes, beyond integrating, have the function of classifying the social groups hierarchically.
