This paper aims to promote a critical reflection on rational understanding of the information as a commodity and the consequent aesthetization of the news in the contemporaneity. There will be a special attention to the interference of the logic on the Publicity of the Journalism in the historical course of the capitalist society, as in the global context, as in the Brazilian reality. The text will provide excerpts from The Society of the Spectacle and Comments on the Society of the Spectacle, written by Guy Debord, who is the main reference for the investigative work developed by the Group of Research “Communication and the Society of the Spectacle”.Downloads
