Abstract

This article intends to analyze the Internet’s democratic potential to revitalize the electoral debate inside the professionalized politic campaigns. The aim is to verify if the new political possibilities offered by the electronic net are being explored inside the Brazilian context. Therefore, a cyberspace comparative analysis takes place by the presidency candidates Luis Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and Geraldo Alckmin (PSDB), during the 2006 elections.
