The familiar world is considered a separate cell from the outside world by a thin skin, which is known as the border. The border is a semipermeable membrane which allows or not the exchange of information between the inner space (“your space”) and external (“other’s space”). Thinking about the border as from fantastic literature is relevant because it is constituted by spatial, temporal and actantial elements, which set confrontation and questioning between the known and the unknown, the real and the unusual, the familiar and the uncanny. In this sense, this article aims to discuss the displacements and the boundaries created by the road in the short story of “As morféticas”, by author Bernardo Élis, from the state of Goiás, Brazil.Downloads
