Abstract

This article proposes a sociological refl ection on the relationship between war and man through the eyes of two factors that boosted the war: the human nature and the fear; and by a factor that is triggered by the war: the delusion. Discussing issues such as: human nature and its infl uence on the war – is that war inherent in human nature? -; fear as a driving factor that is present and triggers the war; the war as a struggle for survival in a hostile environment and surrounded by fear; and fi nally, how the war creates delusion and makes us question why so much destruction, especially in the twentieth century, which witnessed major wars fought by mankind.
