The structuration theory of Anthony Giddens: a brief reading of some influences arising from the sociological literature

Abstract

This article is intended to conduct a reading on the structuration theory of Anthony Giddens in order to identify some points of influence of the sociological literature - developed until then - on his theory. Due to the impossibility to work all influence the content of this same literature considered in its entirety, it is given greater emphasis in some aspects present in Max Weber's formulations, Émile Durkheim and Karl Marx.
