Abstract

St. Bernard isconsidereda historical novelmarkedbysocial changesin the year1934.The society,at the time,suffered fromconcerns andlosses.Thisarticle analyzesthe trajectory of theprotagonist of that work, Paulo Honorio. The character hasa life markedby greed andthesearch for power, and your figureis opposed to his wife, Madalena, an idealistwho fightsfor the common asset of humanity.
