Abuse in childhood: an approach through integrative community therapy and dynamics of Pearl

Abstract

The violence against women, whatever kind, (sexual, physical or psychological), compromise the emotional relationships in adulthood. The trauma caused by the abuse of women was worked in the thesis of the first author. The sensitization for the speech of women victims of sexual abuse took place through lectures with topics on: self-knowledge, self-esteem, emotional health, communication and marital relationship. By experience of the researcher, these women after the lectures, feels encouraged to reveal the secret. They were invited to take part of semi-structured interviews, and of two interventional meeting, with the five steps of Integrative collective therapy and the Dynamics of Pearl, modified, which he called Dynamic of Sponge. In the results, it became clear that the suffering remained, interfering in the conjugal life, with greater emphasis on spheres of intimacy and sexuality.
