Abstract

This work was motivated by the need to promote, appreciate, and value the “Secretaria Municipal de Pindamonhangaba” professionals. The essence of this work is to welcome these professionals in their diversity, uniting various efforts to help them solve personal and professional conflicts, often faced in the daily life of the school environment. In order to achieve this goal, we used the Integrative Community Therapy since it provides the interpersonal encounter, the appreciation of the life stories of each of the participants, the rescue of the “self ”, the improvement of the self-esteem, autonomy in solving problems, and humanitarian aid. The Community Therapy helps participants to develop a different perspective towards others. This new perspective translates into welcoming attitudes, solidarity, the acquisition and improvements of our ability to listen and respect other people’s stories, and, ultimately, self-improvement. The results are the solutions for overcoming difficulties in the professional and personal environments. This work helps us grow as individuals and make us more likely to help others, because, when we know other peoples stories, we learn to value and respect differences.
