Considerations about the research process on mythical thinking in rural black communities

Abstract

This article emerges from our Social Science Master Thesis Project, that deals of the self-identification of a specific rural black community while “quilombola”, emphasizing their collective memory, their slave acestry and their territory as fundamental to this process. In this opportunity we present a modified version to the text used as a partial completion to the discipline “Mitologia, Ritual, Fronteira”, studied in the said Course, that performs some relevant considerations to the mythological thinking in the rural black communities, in Sul of the Rio Grande do Sul state.
