Abstract

In the text we seek to reflect on some of the basis that structures the food security concept, identifying it functional and systemic character, shaped to perform the interests of the so-called agro business. We then seek to demonstrate that such concept holds itself from a contradiction, that is, the attempt to conciliate the expansion of the food productive chain and the suppression of food deficiencies of distinct groups and people from all over the planet. We shall call such contradiction food security fallacy.
