Trajectories of black women on the nortesat of São Paulo: some notes

Abstract

In this paper we seek to point out some theoretical-methodological considerations and some results achieved by our research on the socio-cultural practices and the ways to overcome social marginalization and oppression found by the black communities of the northeast of São Paulo state, particularly at Ribeirão Preto city between the decades of 1910 and 1950. On this direction, we seek to highlight the speeches that express the trajectories of the black women on this process.
