Abstract

This work analyzes the conceptions of citizenship in Kant and in John Rawls. The goal is comprehend how the idea of citizenship be part of their socials diagnosis and associate itself to other elements in their theoretical schemes. For this, we tried to understand citizenship in terms of practice action, this is, what it is prescribed to the citizen as rights and desirable attitudes in the political community. As conclusion, we discuss the authors’ thoughts about the basis of citizenship.
