The modernization of the University in Brazil

Abstract

This paper discusses the process of creating and modernização of public and private universities in Brazil, ending in the current model. The discussion of this process will be done in two stages. The first tells us about the period of creation, consolidation and growth in education, with emphasis on public institutions. The second phase deals with the growing number of graduates in high school and private sector expansion.
