Abstract

The article investigates the impact of foreign language education on employment in the service sector development in the regions of the Russian federation. The assumption that the development of services in many areas will help stabilize one of the most socially acute segments of the economy - the labor market has been substantiated. The local authorities are still unable to solve the problem of unemployment in some regions of the Russian Federation. This can have painful consequences, especially in the Russian regions. To meet the aim of the study, universal scientific research methods, such as analysis, synthesis, induction, and the method of scientific abstraction, are utilized. Based on the results, at the current stage of national economic development, the role of foreign language learning in the services sector is underestimated from the point of view of its functions. Hence, the services sector infrastructure has been failing.
