Abstract

This article examines how the short stories are worked in Spanish classes as a foreign language (ELE) from the project El cuento en lengua española y sus relaciones con la interculturalidad, established in CELIN (Language Centre and Interculturalism), University Federal do Paraná. All the reflection is founded on a mixed methodology, relying initially with the support of bibliographic research aimed at reflection of using literary texts as a tool in teaching a modern foreign language. Allowing the questioning of the initial objectives and the current state of the whole project, an interview with one of the creators of the proposal was still held, besides the application of qualitative questionnaires to teachers. A story that turns into questioning, and especially in challenge to teach.
