Abstract

The following work shows the merit of Integrative Communitarian Therapy Circles as tools for mental care at Psychosocial Health Center (CAPS) in partnership with Family Health Strategies Team (ESF).The circles aims at stimulating mental disabled patients in interaction with the community to express their emotions and feelings in order to reduce suffering and somatization.Circles happen at CAPS and ESF.Divulgation is managed by participants themselves and by municipal system multiprofessional teams, enabling engagement into this complementary care activity.Open to community, circles participation brings out identity reconstruction, self-esteem recovery and skills recognition, ways of manifestation that promote personal and communitarian gatherings even with the difficulties and negative life events experienced.
