Abstract

This article approaches a controversial issue, which covers decades, without much success in the meaning of efficient transformations. It discusses the social function of school and the relation school-family. It carries also a Little of the history of these two segments and raises questionings regarding possible attitudes to be taken searching for the education quality improvement. One concludes that the challenges of the future demand basic changes and innovations on that it goes to learn and to teach, and on the methods to be used.
