O construal do conceito de memória em inglês

Resumo

Este estudo trata da construção e perspectivação do conceito de memória na língua inglesa moderna. Usando dados do British National Corpus e várias fontes literárias, examinamos o campo lexical dos verbos de memória. Empregando o modelo analítico de Frame Semantics, a investigação demonstra como uma combinação de recurso semântico e análise de frame pode capturar as várias maneiras que o inglês constrói o conceito de memória e lembrança.
