Gender violence in brazil and latin america: a psychoanalytic approach, the knowledge production and perspectives of confronting

Abstract

Gender violence in this research is every form of oppression, be it verbal, physical, sexual or psychological, in which one gender overlaps the other, usually the man over women, homosexuals, children and other (sexual) diversities. A first look at gender violence in psychoanalytic theory in Sigmund Freud, indicating the perspectives of (inter) multisectorial confrontation in Brazilian and Latin society, and particularly, confrontations in basic education and higher education. The objective is both to present the psychoanalytic aspect on the theme of gender violence, as well as to point out the tendencies of knowledge production in Brazil and Latin America and, from these two moments are indicated perspectives of confrontation. The methodology is bibliographical, the one that allows, together with the data collection, to formulate referrals / critiques and to "situate" the object of study. The results indicate, among the many approaches of gender violence, the specificity of psychoanalysis in dealing with the theme. The focus of the studies allows not only the relevance but also the need for further studies and studies on gender violence and, above all, the possibility of confrontation in the (inter) multisectoral spheres and particularly in basic education and higher education.
