DOXA – Brazilian Journal of Psychology and Education (A4) is a Continuous Publication (since 2022) by the NUSEX Group, managed by Editor-in-Chief Prof. Dr. Paulo Rennes.
The Ibero-American Education Publisher provides full support for the publication of scientific articles in DOXA – Brazilian Journal of Psychology and Education (A4), classified as A4 (2017-2020). Our mission is to ensure that academic knowledge is widely disseminated, following the principles of Open Science, Open Access, and Ethics in Scientific Publishing.

DOXA – Brazilian Journal of Psychology and Education (A4) adopts editorial policies aligned with Open Science, promoting transparency, collaboration, and reproducibility in scientific research. We strictly follow ethical and academic integrity guidelines based on the recommendations of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) and other regulatory bodies.
Open Access: All articles published in DOXA are freely available, with no financial or institutional barriers, increasing the impact of research.
Copyright: The journal uses open licenses, allowing authors to retain rights over their publications.
Academic Integrity: All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review to ensure impartiality and scientific rigor.
Editorial Responsibility and Sustainability of Open Access
To maintain quality and sustainability in publications, DOXA – Brazilian Journal of Psychology and Education (A4) is editorially managed by the Ibero-American Education Publisher. The journal reserves the right to publish only manuscripts that have gone through the editorial team's review process.
Maintaining editorial activities within a high-quality Open Access model requires continuous infrastructure and resources, including:
Language review, translation, and formatting;
Electronic layout and publishing (DOI, XML, HTML, ePUB);
Metadata curation and standardization for international indexers;
Scientific dissemination and video production to promote published articles, social media management, and other marketing services.
Although Brazil’s public funding model for editorial activities is globally recognized, it remains insufficient to meet the demands of a high-impact scientific journal. DOXA consistently seeks funding support from Unesp's Research Dean's Office (PROPe Unesp) and CNPq, ensuring partial editorial financing through these institutions, though it does not fully cover scientific publishing costs.
What is included in the editorial process?
DOXA – Brazilian Journal of Psychology and Education (A4) does not charge submission or review fees; however, editorial costs are the responsibility of the author, to be paid directly to Ibero-American Education Publisher, covering:
Text review after modifications requested in the peer review process;
Formatting and standardization of articles according to ABNT/APA guidelines;
Full translation into English, and also into Portuguese for articles originally in English or Spanish;
Generation of ePUB and XML versions, ensuring compatibility with index databases;
Scientific video editing for article promotion;
DOI (Digital Object Identifier) validation and maintenance;
Metadata curation and article updates on the OJS (Open Journal System) platform;
Support for Open Science, encouraging practices such as preprints and research data sharing.
Publication Options and Editorial Costs
International submissions: USD 975, equivalent to R$ 7.800,00 (fees and federal taxes)
The editorial model of DOXA has been bilingual since 2018, and since 2019, entirely focused on dissemination and scientific communication.
Additional Page Cost: 175 USD per extra page.
