DOXA – Brazilian Journal of Psychology and Education
(Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Academic Sustainability)
1. Institutional Commitment
DOXA – Brazilian Journal of Psychology and Education adopts the principles of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Academic Sustainability (DEIA) as structural foundations of its editorial and scientific policy.
The journal recognizes that the production and circulation of scientific knowledge must occur in an ethical, plural, democratic, and socially responsible manner, respecting human, cultural, social, regional, epistemological, and institutional differences.
The DEIA principles are integrated into the journal’s commitments to:
- Open Science;
- ethics and scientific integrity;
- editorial transparency;
- academic responsibility;
- democratization of knowledge.
2. Diversity
DOXA values diversity in all dimensions of scientific and editorial production, promoting respect and recognition for multiple identities, contexts, and academic perspectives.
The journal is committed to:
- regional and institutional diversity;
- diversity of nationalities;
- ethnic and racial diversity;
- cultural and linguistic diversity;
- gender and sexual orientation diversity;
- theoretical, methodological, and epistemological plurality;

3. Equity

DOXA commits to:

DOXA promotes academic and scientific inclusion by encouraging participation of researchers, authors, reviewers, and readers from diverse social, cultural, and institutional contexts.
The journal seeks to:

No submission will be evaluated based on:
- nationality;
- gender;
- race;
- religion;
- sexual orientation;
- socioeconomic condition;
- disability;
- institutional or regional origin.

DOXA recognizes accessibility as an essential element for democratizing scientific knowledge.
The journal commits to:
- promoting open access to scientific content;

Offensive, discriminatory, prejudiced, or unethical review reports will not be accepted.
The journal may adopt:
- double-blind review;
- single-blind review;

- publication of review reports;
- practices aligned with Open Science and editorial transparency.
8. Editorial Responsibility
Authors, reviewers, editors, and collaborators commit to:
- respecting DEIA principles;
- acting ethically and responsibly;
- avoiding discriminatory practices;
- promoting a respectful and plural scientific environment.
DOXA does not tolerate:
- discriminatory;
- prejudiced;
- offensive;
- exclusionary;
- unethical manifestations.
9. Policy Review
This DEIA Policy may be reviewed every 6 (six) months according to:
- developments in editorial best practices;
- institutional updates;
- national and international guidelines;
- continuous improvement of inclusion and diversity practices.
Final Statement
DOXA – Brazilian Journal of Psychology and Education reaffirms its commitment to science that is:
- diverse;
- equitable;
