Main points
This thematic dossier aims to bring together studies and foster conceptual and practical discussions derived from contemporary research that investigates processes involving the family, intrinsically linked to issues of language and education.
As the first socializing instance, the family exerts a crucial influence on the constitution of individuals and, therefore, on the processes involving the appropriation and use of different language modalities, as well as teaching and learning.
In this context, it is essential to highlight the importance of disseminating works that analyze, in a profound and comprehensive manner, the fundamental role of the family in linguistic and educational practices.
Moreover, it justifies the need to create an academic space dedicated to research that explores the diversity and complexity of family influence in these practices. It is essential that these studies reveal ways in which family interactions and contexts can impact the overall development of individuals, particularly in language and learning.
Thus, it is expected that the studies produced around the aforementioned aspects can provide robust theoretical and methodological support for critical analysis and addressing issues related to these themes. This support should contribute to the development of clinical and pedagogical approaches, as well as public policies that recognize and value the centrality of the family in the constitution of individuals and their linguistic and educational formation processes.
