Abstract

In this article, will perform the analysis of the criticism of the Communicative Language Teaching in Chapter 4 of the Curriculum Guidelines for Secondary Education (OCEMs) entitled "Knowledge of Spanish." In this review it is stated that the formation of the critical citizen is disregarded in discussions regarding Communicative Movement. Given this situation, I assume that, in fact, the official documents of Education in Brazil and the assumptions of Communicative Teaching exhibit great similarities. To prove my idea, I will analyze some of these documents and principles of this methodology for the teaching of foreign languages, placing them in historical context of our country, since only observing that this relationship will be possible, in my view, this narrow understanding veiled link .
