Resumen

Este estudio tiene como objetivo examinar la identidad docente inicial de estudiantes-profesores de inglés como lengua extranjera en una universidad estatal turca. La investigación fue diseñada como una encuesta cuantitativa transversal, con el propósito de medir el nivel de identidad docente inicial y sus subdimensiones. El estudio también exploró si la identidad docente inicial variaba según las características demográficas de los participantes. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 196 estudiantes-profesores matriculados en el Departamento de Enseñanza de la Lengua Inglesa de una universidad estatal en Turquía. Los datos fueron recopilados mediante un cuestionario en línea compuesto por un formulario de información demográfica y la Early Teacher Identity Measure (ETIM). Para analizar los datos, se utilizaron estadísticas descriptivas, pruebas t para muestras independientes y pruebas ANOVA de una vía. Los resultados indicaron que los participantes presentaban un nivel relativamente alto de identidad docente inicial. La autoeficacia fue identificada como la subdimensión más fuerte, mientras que la responsabilidad en el aula y el compromiso voluntario con niños o adolescentes se mostraron menos desarrollados.
