Abstract

In the modern higher education system, improving the effectiveness of students’ learning activities is of significant scientific and practical importance. The main objective of the present study is to empirically investigate the impact of mental states, especially stress and its components, on students’ academic achievement.  The findings indicate that no statistically significant direct relationship was found between stress levels and academic achievement. The results demonstrate that mental states play an important role in the effectiveness of learning activities and emphasize the necessity of considering students’ psychological well-being within the educational process. The study highlights the importance of developing psychological support mechanisms in higher education institutions to enhance academic outcomes and maintain students’ mental health. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the complex relationship between psychological factors and academic performance and provide practical implications for educational planning and student support services
