About the Journal
The creation of an online Journal of Educational Policy and Management stems from the interest of professors from the Graduate Program in School Education of the Faculty of Sciences and Letters at UNESP/Araraquara and is currently also linked to the Department of Education. In its initial phase, due to the particularities of the context, the journal was intended to have an annual periodicity (which occurred between 2001 and 2003). As of 2007, the journal gained new momentum with the organization of the Study Group "Educational Organizations: planning and management processes" (GEOPLAGE), which at that time took on the responsibility for its publication. The main concern of those responsible was to overcome technical issues and, still within the old format, restart the journal’s publication through dissemination and the solicitation of contributors.
Further changes took place in 2009. From that year onwards, the editors focused on establishing a regular (biannual) periodicity and on formalizing editorial guidelines regarding the reception and submission of articles, simultaneously with the formation of a national and international editorial board. The editorial review of the journal proposes as its goals and mission the plural dissemination of topics that consistently discuss educational and school policy and management across the broadest possible spectrum of the subject. Furthermore, it aims to disseminate scientific papers, interviews, reviews, and other texts that encourage reflection and debate primarily related to these national and international themes. To this end, we work with articles by researchers, professors, graduate students, collective productions from study and research groups, as well as experience reports from various educational systems and school units (federal, state, and municipal) and across different educational levels. Therefore, the author(s) must follow the RPGE Author Guidelines. Manuscripts that are not properly formatted (i.e., not using the RPGE template, not following APA standards, or failing to meet the journal’s editorial requirements) will be rejected.
