International educational exchange

The aim of this study is to describe the experience of an international educational exchange in Spain and contextualize the scientific and technological contribution to the development of a management tool for Permanent Health Education in Brazil. The activities included field observation across multiple settings, such as healthcare institutions and universities in Spain, between February and June 2025. These activities correspond to stages in the development of a technology based on Design Science Research, specifically the phases of defining objectives, design, and development. The experience enabled the identification of management tools used in hospitals, health centers, and universities; governance models; teaching-service integration; workflow design for internships, training, and residency programs; as well as the active teaching methodologies employed. This, in turn, made it possible to identify requirements and expand the state of the art to support the development of a management tool aligned with the needs of the Brazilian context.
