About the Journal

DOXA – Brazilian Journal of Psychology and Education, Qualis A4 (2017-2020), is a journal with 22 years of existence that publishes scientific articles in the broad fields of Psychology and Education. Over time, it has become one of the official journals of the Faculty of Sciences and Letters. The journal was always published in print format. In 2017, it was integrated into the Open Journal System (OJS) for online publications. Until 2020, its publication frequency was semiannual (January/June and July/December). Currently, since 2021, the journal has adopted Continuous Publishing, enhancing scientific communication and dissemination by accelerating article publication upon approval.

In 2021, DOXA: Brazilian Journal of Psychology and Education began a new phase as a Continuous Publishing journal. This approach ensures greater agility in publishing accepted articles after double-blind peer review, without requiring them to wait for a specific issue. This new publication model increases research visibility and recognition for authors. The journal is currently hosted at NUSEX – Center for Sexuality Studies.

Submissions are open on a rolling basis.

Between 2017 and 2020, the journal achieved significant indexations, visibility, citations, and quality recognition. In 2020, it transitioned to a bilingual publication format, reinforcing the importance of internationalization for Brazilian and global researchers.
