Explore the possible contribution of external assessment for management education, relying on the path to creating SAEB Proof of Brazil and also in research and IDEB national "Bons resultados no índice de Desenvolvimento da Educação Básica: estudo exploratório de fatores explicativos", is the scope of this article. Looking to score elements for understanding the trajectory of the external assessment in basic education. SAEB and IDEB and conceptualize and examine the tasks of management and school systems. Finishes, leaning on the path to creating SAEB Proof of Brazil and IDEB and national research, weaving statements about the possibilities of contributions of external assessment for management education.
